Welcome to SEDA

Established in 1975, the Southern Eventing and Dressage Association (formerly LMDCTA) is a non-profit, educational organization founded to foster an interest in, and understanding of, the equestrian sports of Dressage and Eventing.

SEDA belongs to USEF Zone 7, is a Region 9 Group Member Organization of the United States Dressage Federation, and an Area III & V Affiliate of the United States Eventing Association. With over 150 members, SEDA is one of the largest USDF affiliated clubs in Region 9 and growing. Our members primarily hail from Louisiana and Mississippi.

Club activities include educational events, schooling and recognized shows, clinics, seminars, tack sales, and an Annual Awards Program. SEDA's award winning newsletter, Off Course, is published bi-monthly as a service to its members.

We invite you to join us in supporting the sports of Dressage and Eventing in our area by becoming a member! SEDA has a lot to offer whether you're new to the sport or an experienced competitor.   • WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK! Click Here to take a short survey about the changes made to the 2008 Awards Program. We would like to hear any comments/concerns you have regarding the changes which were made to the program. If you would rather not take the survey, please contact President Lynn Quast directly with your comments/concerns. Please submit all feedback by January 6, 2009. Responses will be analyzed and may result in modifications to the 2009 SEDA Awards Program. Any changes/modifications will be presented at the SEDA Awards Banquet on January 31, 2009.

  • SAVE THE DATE: SEDA AWARDS BANQUET IS SCHEDULED FOR JANUARY 31, 2009. 1:00PM-5:00PM at Benedict's in Mandeville. Download the reservation form.
  • END OF YEAR AWARDS STANDINGS HAVE BEEN POSTED. Please be sure to check them for accuracy and notify the appropriate chairperson immediately if there are any discrepancies. Review your volunteer hours, as well, to ensure that the information is correct! We want to make sure that everyone gets the awards they are entitled to.
  • RENEW YOUR MEMBERSHIP TODAY! SEDA membership renewal notices have been mailed out. If you did not receive yours, make sure to complete a membership form and send it in. The new season began December 1, 2008!
  • SEDA Off Course newsletter is going green! Due to the increasing costs of printing and postage (and everything else!), beginning with the January 2008 issue, Off Course is switching to an electronic distribution. If you prefer to receive a printed copy, please notify the editor so we can ensure you continue to receive it in the mail. Otherwise, make sure that the Membership Chair has your current e-mail address on file.
